1. DOMAINE GEROVASSILIOU
Set in the village of Epanomi, Domaine Gerovassiliou houses one of the most important wine museums and corkscrew collection in all of Greece. 3. KIR YANNI WINERY
Continuing our journey to Naoussa, the mecca of Xinomavro wine, we visit the Winery of Kir Yanni. Building on the heritage left by his grandfather since 1879, Yiannis Boutaris has become a leading figure in the winemaking tradition of Greece. Today, the 5th generation of the Boutari family invests on Kir-Yiannis philosophy while blending tradition with modern practices.
4. ALPHA ESTATE
Founded in 1997 by Makis Mavridis and Angelos Iatridis, both experts of the winemaking process, the Alpha Estate features one of the most modern vineyards in Greece. With respect to the environment, the Alpha Estate follows eco-friendly practices to produce some of the finest wines in the region.
5. DOMAINE KARANIKA
Following nature and its majesty, the wines produced at Domaine Karanika maintain the correct balance between cultivation and production avoiding chemicals and unnecessary mechanical control. The most famous varieties produced in the estate include Xinomavro, Assyrtiko and Limniona.
6. DOMAINE PORTO CARRAS
Adorning the region of Halkidiki, the Domaine Porto Carras features one of the largest organic vineyards in the country, a place where some of the finest wines in Northern Greece are being harvested.
